Parking

[Photo Gallery]

Hearing about the constant battle with illegal parking and our repetitive requests (dating back to July 2003) for some sort of visual information easily understood by all in the Transport business Peck, Michael Peck, assumed ownership of the problem.

He surrounded himself with a hand-picked team of Mayfield management (hereafter referred to as the taskforce) with the following objectives:

bullet

Design an informative visual deterrent;

bullet

Use clear concise vocabulary;

bullet

Set a budget for the project;

bullet

Ask for tenders to obtain the cheapest quote;

bullet

Form a debating team to argue which part of the Mayfield Group should bear the massive financial burden of such a huge civil engineering project.

After many hours of planning, telephone calls, arranging financial backing and much soul searching we have a tactful, sensitive, easily understood sign (erected in record time and under budget) thanks to Peck, Michael Peck and the taskforce.

UPDATE!  Not one but TWO signs have now appeared!

All we need now is for them to be moved to where lorry drivers (who we want to keep out) will probably notice them.  One thing at a time......

Mayfield's South Wales security team (otherwise known as the Gypos) has again been evicted from its unit at Severn Bridge industrial estate.  16d was their last home.  Previous addresses include units: 46, 51b, 53e, 7.  Back to 53e it is then - home, sweet home.  No!  Wait a bit!  Its unit 18 - with running water - hot even!   Spoiling us now.
